Description

Join us in May 2025 for a unique mushroom foraging workshop in the Southern Highlands, where the crisp autumn air signals the arrival of fungi season. Guided by local forager Amanda, you’ll spend the morning exploring pine forests in search of prized Saffron Milk Cap and Slippery Jack mushrooms. After 6 years of working with experts Amanda knows the prized Autumn delicacies of the local area.

After your forage, gather to cook your hand-picked finds the traditional way—pan-fried with butter and salt until golden and caramelised, and served with locally made sourdough bread. It’s a sensory feast that highlights the freshness and flavour of seasonal, local produce. To complete the experience, enjoy a tasting of cool-climate Southern Highlands wines, perfectly paired with your mushroom dish.

Whether you’re a nature lover, foodie, or curious beginner, this workshop offers a delicious and immersive day out in the forest, celebrating the magic of wild mushrooms and the joy of slow, seasonal living.
