We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with the team behind Blue Mountains & Jervis Bay Stargazing to offer this unique activity in the Southern Highlands. Join us to explore the stars as we embark on a captivating, fun and interactive 90 min stargazing journey in the spectacular Morton National Park, Bundanoon, learning about the dark skies led by Astrophysicist Dimitri, PhD.
A wonderful opportunity to experience the Southern Sky and its celestial wonders only visible from the Southern hemisphere. Dimitri, the guide (10 years of experience including Paris Observatory, Sydney Observatory, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley and Mt John Observatory at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand) will delve into the study of each celestial object.
Workshops will include Laser- Guided naked Eye Astronomy | Tips & Hacks on how to identify Stars | Constellation storytelling and Star Signs | State of the Art Telescope Viewing of celestial objects ( depending on time of year and night) such as The Moon (its Craters & Seas) Saturns Rings | The Moons of Jupiter | Mars & Venus | The Orion Nebula | Star Clusters | Double & Triple Stars | Deep space objects such as galaxies and the Milky Way and if we are lucky, shooting stars.
We also offer a glass of Hot Chocolate or Local Pinot Noir whilst you take it all in and a delicious cheese grazing board.
